Abstract
The conservative revolution is a concept often heard about in political theory, but rarely clearly identified. At the root of this problem is both the way it has been described by those who first dealt with it, and the unclear meaning of terms such as “revolution” and “conservation”, as well as the use of the term in a way that differs from the original one. In this essay, the conservative revolution is neither a general trend of political thought nor a universal temperament of the twentieth century (even if it undoubtedly contributed to its creation), nor an oxymoron in terms, but it is the foundation of a precise philosophy that bases its language on the concepts of temporality and the relationship between politics and history. Keywords: Conservative Revolution, Schmitt, Jünger, Heidegger, Katéchon.
